Meet Jonathan
Jonathan Crooks’ journey began amidst the serene foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York, where he spent his formative years immersed in the beauty of nature. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in American History, he embarked on a distinguished career in the dynamic realm of telecommunications. He swiftly ascended the ranks to National Director roles in sales and marketing. This trajectory culminated in the establishment of his own consulting enterprise, collaborating with prominent national and international telecom entities such as Northern Telecom.
During his early professional endeavors, Mr. Crooks also contributed significantly to the field of higher education while pursuing graduate-level studies towards a Master of Education degree, with a specialized focus on Elementary Education. His specialized focus played a pivotal role in shaping his journey of learning and personal growth. Later on, he further enriched his academic pursuits by enrolling in the esteemed Master of Divinity program at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia.
Presently in a semi-retired phase, Jonathan Crooks continues to exude a vibrant engagement with society through his active involvement with various non-profit organizations. He holds esteemed positions within his local community, including serving as a devoted member of the Rotary Club of Roswell and contributing his insights to the Roswell Presbyterian Church. Additionally, he has offered his leadership and guidance as a member of Boards of Directors for historic homes and theater organizations, reflecting his enduring commitment to cultural enrichment and community development.
In his personal life, he finds immense pride in his family. He cherishes his role as a parent to three accomplished adult children and a doting grandparent to a wonderful grandson. They continue to be constant support of strength and joy in his life and he is looking forward to many more cherishing moments in the years to come.
Author
Though a first-time author, Jonathan has written for the better part of 50 years as a Historian, Seminary student and Education student. He is also in the beginning stages of research for his second book, entitled, “Beyond the Now”.
Speaker
Jonathan has been a public speaker for 50 years through his work in the business world and as a speaker in the field of history as a first-person historical interpreter and historical tour guide. His relatable storytelling style resonates with those seeking inspiration and hope.
Podcaster
A byproduct of this first book will be Jonathan’s entrance into the podcast world. The intent of the podcast will be to explore the experiences of individuals who saw beyond our current life called “near death”.

“PATIENT ZERO” A TRUE COVID DELTA VARIANT STORY
Jonathan Crooks’ memoir Miracles, Angles and Messages recounts his experience of being ‘Patient Zero’ with the Delta variant of COVID 19 at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital. With a doctor’s eye for medical details and a comedian’s ear to notice the humor in a dark situation, Jonathan tells his story of becoming ill, hovering on the edge of death, and his miraculous full recovery back to health. This is a meditation on courage, restoration, and what’s truly important in life, but also about the angels – of hospital, church, community, and family – that help us out along the way!
